Information we collect

A submitted report includes the pothole photo, precise GPS coordinates, location accuracy, approximate street address, optional note and submission time.

Acceptable photos

Only a close-up photograph of the pothole is acceptable. Do not upload people, faces, license plates, homes, private property, personal documents or unrelated surroundings. Never take a photo while driving or place yourself in traffic.

Public reports and sharing

Submitted photos, exact road locations, location accuracy, notes and report details are displayed publicly to draw attention to road damage and encourage repairs. Visitors may view, copy, download, screenshot and reshare public reports. Do not submit unless you agree to this public use.

How reports are used

Reports are used to document, locate, publicize, review and help address road hazards. Pothole Snap does not sell submitted report data for advertising.

Location privacy

Precise location is requested only after you choose a photo and grant device permission. Submit from the road hazard—not a private residence—whenever possible.

Storage and deletion

Reports are retained as reasonably necessary to document and publicize the hazard, route it, maintain system integrity and meet legal obligations. A dedicated deletion-request contact will be added here shortly.
